In the beginning of every year, APAS throws a party to reward the team for achievement made in the past year, to show gratitude to our beloved pilots and airline friends, and to bring everyone together, celebrating the new year. On January 22nd, with delightful dinner and ongoing laughter, we enjoyed a remarkable evening in Taipei.
Apart from enjoying the savory dining and nonstop chit-chat, we gathered and played Raffle with prizes including airline tickets. Most importantly, as APAS always knows how our guests love to express passion and joy through their wonderful voices, we organized a singing performance for them to sign up this year. The performance began with EVA Air First Officer, Mr. Christophe Lamoureux, and Captain Gerardo De Maria, who was promoted as Captain recently, performing a beautiful duet on La Vie En Rose. Next, with everyone singing along, we had EVA Air First Officer, Mr. Jean Jose Tenorio Quintero, singing New York New York. The performance was going so well that more senior managers from different airlines started joining in; and of course, the little performance became a big talent show, in which guests were so enthusiastic to participate we had to cancel our game time on the program to keep the karaoke uninterrupted! Everyone was having so much fun, we even started singing Despacito, one of the 2018 top hits, in Spanish!
As people always say: “time flies when you’re having fun”, we had to put down the microphones and started hugging goodbye when the party was coming to an end. But do not worry, we will see each other soon in the 2019 Beer Party, and APAS promises it will be just as fun!
Reflecting on the past year, APAS feels so grateful seeing how many friends have supported us and helped us with where we are today. We are also excited to have more friends joining the APAS family. The 2019 Annual Party marks the happy ending of 2018 and the exciting future we are sharing altogether. In the beginning of 2019, twelve new chapters are coming with 365 new chances. We welcome you to become an APAS online member if you have yet to do so. Happy New Year and stay tuned for more APAS stories coming up!
